2024 Championship Entries are now open
Entries for our 2024 championships are now open. We have a superb line-up of venues for this year’s events and are expecting bumper entries for each one. To enter, go to the Fixtures / Entries page, scroll down to Entries and select the event/s you wish to enter. This will take you to the page for each specific event where you can follow the process to register.
Super Seniors win inaugural Phil Jones Trophy
In 2023 when the Super Seniors played North Wales, Karl Lurz, the North Wales Seniors’ Captain suggested that an annual trophy be played for in memory of the late Phil Jones. The inaugural event was at Eaton Golf Club, Chester on 15th May 2024. The match was won by Cheshire 8-4, the overall result did not reflect the closeness of some games. The trophy was presented by Mike Bryant, (President, North Wales Counties Golf Association)

Knutsford host Boys v Seniors
The match between the Cheshire Seniors and Cheshire Boys was played at the delightful Knutsford Golf Club and passing aeroplanes taking off from Manchester Airport and deer in the adjacent Tatton Park were able to see some terrific golf and enjoy an excellent match spanning the ages in Cheshire Golf.The seniors led with ex-professional Richard Stockdale and he soon got the first point on the board despite some very good golf from Shinil Balakrishnan.Matty Griffiths
Schools golf revived at Wilmslow
Cheshire’s first school’s golf competition for over 15 years was held at the Wilmslow Golf Club with 57 boys and nine girls from 32 different schools.First to tee off was Nathan Hopley from Stockport Grammar School using his one iron to drill the ball into a near hurricane wind.
