Junior Team

Our 2024 squad, have already completed a number of winter coaching sessions, with new skill tests planned along with extra putting and short game sessions, too. All of which are vital in helping the boys to further develop their game.

There’s a very busy and exciting playing program lined up, too, with inter-county matches against Lancashire U14s at  Birchwood and a combined Shropshire & Hereford U16s team at Hawkstone Park GC, were a young Sandy Lyle started playing the game. 

In addition to a series of matches against the junior sections of Cheshire clubs, we expect our squad to enter all 3 of CUGC’s junior comps, where they are eligible.  

We encourage the boys to enter the Junior Opens held at clubs across the county, including Wilmslow, Wallasey, Sandiway & Delamere Forest. This is an ideal way of measuring  yourselves against other junior golfers and play outstanding courses.  

Along with my colleagues, Jim McBride, Stuart Laing and Mike Jones and our pros, Mark Johnson and Matt Turnock, everyone is assured of a warm welcome and being a vital team member.
