In unseasonably cool and windy weather our Under 14s team managed a really good win against Lymm G.C’s juniors today 5.5 to 2.5 whilst not receiving any shots and giving up to 21. Amongst the Cheshire team were a number of invited guest players, including four from our development squad, who all enjoyed playing for the U14s for the first time

The hospitality we received from Lymm plus the catering was absolutely superb and the pre-match breakfasts are proving to be an absolute winner, along with today’s result!

On behalf of the CUGC thanks and a small gift were presented to Dave Clarke and Dave Griffiths, who are doing a superb job promoting junior development at Lymm GC which is great to see.
Tom Littlewood, reducing his handicap from 16 to 8.5, along with George Bull and Max Gilsenan, have all won the ‘Mars Bar Challenge’ – a super achievement by all three juniors.

Hazel Grove is our next match on Sunday 9th July.
