Comfortable win for Mixed Age team Cheshire Boys Mixed Age team enjoyed their match against North Wales at the excellent venue of Upton-by-Cheshire GC. It was close in the morning foursomes with Cheshire edging a 3.5-2.5 winning margin. The 98th County Championship began yesterday (Thursday) on a glorious day at the historic Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake. With the rainfall over the past few months, the rough is up and therefore places a premium on finding the short stuff. Paul McFerran (Warrington) must have done so, as he shot a fine opening 68 to lead. To enter and compete in County events, all players are required to register their details into our database, known as the Master Roster.
