Mark and Steve prevail at Withington

Withington Golf Club were excellent hosts for the Second Cheshire Life Members competition providing a challenging and well conditioned course, backed by great support and a friendly welcome from their staff and members.
Top organisation on the day was also provided by Cheshire officials Jerry Dixon and Bob Hamilton.
124 players were also able to enjoy wall to wall sunshine during a great day for golf- and so lucky it was not staged the day after of continuous and heavy rain.
Top of the tree were Tytherington’s trusty duo Mark Eden and Stephen Rayer who posted an impressive 44 points to finish two clear of Paul Reid and David Ollerhead (Hartford) and David Conville and Peter Robertson (Houldsworth).
Next in on 41 were four pairs including former Cheshire President Andrew Henshall and his Wilmslow GC partner Martyn Berrisford.
