Durham too hot to handle on Isle of Man

CHESHIRE Seniors team enjoyed their trip to the Isle of Man playing at Castletown Links as they looked to qualify for the English Counties Seniors Final
Six Cheshire seniors were in the competition, including the County Seniors Champion Ian Quirk, (Lymm GC) along with Gareth Bradley, Richard Stockdale, David Nelson, Paul Knight and Guy Hindle.
They each played two rounds with the best five scores counting in each round for the team aggregate.
Durham were the top county, with Yorkshire two shots back and Cheshire finished in fourth spot with a two-round total of 753, 33 over par.
Richard Stockdale was the top scorer for Cheshire finishing as the second individual in the competition with a level par 144 (74 and 70)
Next in for Cheshire was Gareth Bradley with 145 putting him in fifth place.
