The Cheshire mens team continued their impressive start to the season with a big win over North Wales at Chester Golf Club.

The Cheshire men’s team continued their impressive start to the season with a big win over North Wales at Chester Golf Club.

The morning Foursomes were won by the visitors by 3.5 to 2.5 with the Cheshire points won by the old firm of Captain Jon Beesley & Chris Chilton and youngsters Cole Self & Ryan Owen with Sam Burton & Haminder Matharu picking up the half.

The afternoon singles produced an unprecedented record score of 11 wins by the Cheshire team to clinch a final score of 13.5 to 4.5 to put the team in great spirits for their first Northern Counties League match at Warrington in a few weeks time.

Winning for Cheshire were Jack Nicholson, junior captain Dan Hayes, Jon Beesley, Sam Prince, Paul McFerran, Sam Burton, Kris Towers, Chris Chilton, Haminder Matharu, Ryan Owen and Cole Self.
