Former Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs Secretary and President, Brian Nattrass, has been granted honorary life membership at Chester Golf Club to mark his services to golf at both a local and county level. Brian joined Chester Golf Club in 1971 and after supporting the Club through his work on the management committee became Chester Captain in 1988. In 1992 he was elected to the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs and the following year he was appointed as County Secretary, a position he held with distinction for 10 years. It was during this period that Brian also had the honour of being elected President of the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs. If these two positions were not enough, he became Chester Golf Club’s Centenary President the same year in 2001.
Brian is the first member of Chester Golf Club to be given honorary life membership in almost 20 years. The Board of the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs congratulate Brian on his award and thank him for his valuable contribution to local and County Golf”.
