First Autumn Life members Meeting at Chorlton Golf Club

First tee group with starter Mike Lynch (Chorlton), Dave Paxton, Ken Bewley, Chris Hyde, David Pickering and Keith Turton

Chorlton cum Hardy Golf Club provided a tight, well conditioned and challenging course for the first Autumn Cheshire Life Members Meeting that was enjoyed by all.
There was also excellent hospitality in their magnificent medieval club house – Barlow Hall – that has a very distinguished history across the ages.
One the course there were members from across Cheshire, including Cheshire President Andrew Henshall (Wilmslow) and President Elect David Durling (Shrigley Hall), enjoying a very close competition with the winning score of 44 points posted by Alsager Golf and Country Club duo Graham Hayter and Gavin Taylor.
Just a point off the pace were Tom McGoona and Stephen Moore (Vale Royal Abbey) who won a card play off from Bromborough’s Alex Peers and Iain Hughes with Nigel Skilling and James Harvey (Bromborough) winning a cpo from two other pairs on 42 points.
