Cheshire legend takes on new role

Bramhall Golf Club and Cheshire golfing legend Gareth Bradley (pictured) is looking forward to a new county role as he is taking over as the County Seniors Captain from the retiring Dave Heaton, who had done a superb job for the previous nine years.
Gareth, who is also a member at Anglesey Golf Club, said: “I qualified as a senior in June in 2018 and now I just want to carry on the brilliant work Dave has done over the past nine years, hopefully leading to fantastic success and enjoyment for the Seniors squad and I want to thank Dave for the great state he has left the team/squad in.
“I retired from work in June last year to concentrate on Seniors golf and going to play in all the major England Golf events.
“I have been a member at Bramhall for 44 years and club champion 26 times.
“I represented Cheshire nearly 170 times and played in the first team up to last year and also enjoyed being the County Team Captain.
“I have served on the greens committee at Bramhall and also on the Cheshire Executive Board as Seniors Chairman and I am now looking forward to my new role with great anticipation.”
