Cheshire Mixed Foursomes Championships

Left to right: winners David and Jeanie Donnell-Jones, VRA Captain John

Lymm Golf Club’s dynamic duo of David and Jeanie Donnell -Jones followed the example set by their outstanding girls team by picking up a Cheshire championship at Vale Royal Abbey GC.
Vale Royal Abbey have been excellent hosts of the County Mixed Foursomes Championships since its inception a few years ago and they kept up their high standards by providing an excellent course and off course hospitality for the mixed champions of clubs from across the county on a day blessed by some fine weather.
The Lymm pair posted a very impressive haul of 41 points to finish four clear of Sale GC’s Mobi and England Senior star Cath Rawthore. They won a cpo on 37 points from home pair David Jones and Gill McKenzie.
Another great competition for members of all Cheshire clubs to see their mixed champions enjoy at a superb venue that will gain host the finals day in 2019.
