Cheshire Boys dominate North Wales Boys at Aldersey Green

Cheshire Boys played their annual match against North Wales this year at Aldersey Green G.C.  The course was in excellent condition and lived up to its names in being one of the greener courses in the area in this exceptionally dry summer.  The weather was hot and sunny without any breeze to temper the high temperatures.  Cheshire got off to an near perfect start by winning the foursomes matches by 5.5 to 0.5.  Only a putt lipping out on the 18th green in the 6th match denied them a 6-0 score.  Cheshire continued to dominate in the afternoon singles winning 9 of the 12 points at stake.

This gave them a match winning score of 14.5 to 3.5 and thereby retaining the Major Hall Cup for another year.
