Lewis George success in USA

LEWIS George has been one of Cheshire’s top young stars in recent years in individual and
team competitions.
Lewis, a member of Delamere Forest Golf Club and last year’s runner-up in the Cheshire Match-play
championships at Northenden where he set a new course record, is enjoying his second year in a
golf scholarship at Central Arkansas University.
This enables him to play on the USA College circuit and he was delighted to win the Southland
Conference Championship which was played at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club over the Dye
course.
Rounds of 71, 72 and 73 gave him a 216 total and victory by a shot from Blake Elliott of McNeese
State University.
Lewis will be returning home in a few weeks and looking to play a full part in Cheshire’s competitions
before returning to his thirds year in the States later in the year.
