THE Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs are delighted with the new two-year sponsorship they have agreed with Robinson’s Brewery.
Cheshire secretary Peter Whitehead said: “The Cheshire board are excited about the sponsorship partnership with Robinsons and the money received will be given to various county activities throughout the year and Robinsons will be invited to take part in a range of county competitions and functions as part of the deal.
“Reg Maddock, who is responsible for marketing for Cheshire, and I met up with Ben Robinson, the Director of Sales for Robinsons, and Gill Yates, the brand manager, at their excellent museum in Stockport and were given great hospitality and time for a full discussion on the sponsorship.”
Ben Robinson added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs as Principal Sponsor for the next two years.
“This collaboration between two iconic and established Cheshire institutions is a good match and one which we believe will be mutually beneficial.
“Not only does this sponsorship provide the opportunity for Robinsons to build key relationships with 97 well-founded golf clubs across our Cheshire heartland, but there’s a great natural crossover of customers who enjoy a pint in our pubs and those who enjoy a round of golf – or a refreshing pint after a round of golf!
