Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs

Cheshire Golf Union Centenary - 2020 and now 2021!

Update June 2020

In 2020,  the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs was supposed to celebrate its Centenary. DUE TO CONTINUING  COVID 19 ISSUES, WE HAVE DECIDED TO DELAY OUR CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS PROGRAMME UNTIL 2021.  In fact the Union was created late in 1920 so, for example, the first county championships were in 1921.  We consider 2021 appropriate to still call it our Centenary !

The programme will be published for all to see here. It will commence with our County Centenary seminars at various points across the county, either in November 2020 or probably March 2021. More comprehensive details to follow.

We will now hold the Centenary Trophy competition for gentlemen golfers IN 2021. THE VENUE AND DATE AND DETAILS WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN AUTUMN 2020.

A separate Centenary website and digital archive has been created. Click here to visit this site

Further updates will be posted here over the coming weeks. Thank you and keep well.
