2020; the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs celebrates its Centenary.
Despite these uncertain times, we are planning a range of events to mark this milestone in our history. With the Corona virus temporarily halting the launch, as soon as the revised schedule is made, it will be published for all to see here.
We still aim to hold the Centenary Trophy competition for gentlemen golfers at Stockport Golf Club on Sunday September 20th. The Clubs' own qualifying competition will move from May until later in the summer, once the lockdown is cancelled and Clubs return to competition golf. If this proves to be too difficult to re-arrange we will delay the Trophy competition until 2021.
We now know that more of the celebrations will continue in 2021, so we very much hope you will be part of this.
The Centenary Book is also being published this year being launched at the County Dinner at The Mere Resort, Knutsford on Friday 9th October 2020. It will be made available in digital format to all on a separate website www.cheshire-golf100.org.uk which is currently under construction. ( April 2020)
Further updates will be posted here over the coming weeks.
