In 2020 the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs celebrates its Centenary. We are planning a range of events to mark this milestone in our history, details of which will be published as we approach 2020.
Currently, in addition to event planning, we are conducting research into the history of the Union, which will result in a Centenary book that will be made available to all who’d like to purchase it, and a separate website www.cheshire-golf100.org.uk which is currently under construction.
Unfortunately, the Union’s archives from its inception to ~ 1975 were destroyed some years ago, therefore we are attempting to put together details of our history from a variety of sources. Progress so far has been reasonably good, however any information, pictures, draw sheets etc that you may have would be very gratefully received. If you are able to provide access to any such information, please contact Jerry Dixon who is conducting this research. You can email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to our Centenary year and hope that you and your club will be able to play a part in the events we have planned. Further updates will be posted here over the coming months.
