U16 Boys beat Lancashire

Cheshire Under-16 boys made the short trip to Hindley Hall GC, near Wigan to take on old derby rivals Lancashire.

It was a close contest all the way with the morning foursomes tied at 2.5-2.5

Picking up the points for Cheshire were Ricky Mohun and Noah Alexander 2/1 and Jasper Hughes and Austin Eastwood one up with Will Furness and Aidan Lam halving their match.

All to play for in the afternoon singles and the first four games were shared at 2-2 with wins for Jack Walker 7/6 and Ricky Mohun 5/3 in hot form.

Will Furness one up and Shane Clayton 4/3 put Cheshire in control with Aidan Lam 4/3 and Jayden Tommy 3/2 taking Cheshire to a 6-4 lead in the singles and an overall match total of 8.5-6.5
