Ringway Boys v Cheshire Girls

Ringway Golf Club were great hosts for a friendly but competitive match between Ringway Boys and Cheshire Girls.

There was wall to wall sunshine and a lovely course for the players and officials to enjoy as well as the usual excellent hospitality and friendly welcome for players, officials and supporters.

The morning session was a foursomes over 18 holes and the girls came out on top with a close 2.5-1.5 win. Winning for the girls were Holly Wright and Phoebe Henderson one up and Isobella Smith and Mia Brooker 4/3 with a half for Emilia Gravett and Missy Green against Ellis Courtnell and Will Furness with Toby Cooper and Lucas Moola beating Naomi Willans and Emily Macauley 2/1.

The afternoon 9-hole Singles found the Ringway boys too hot to handle as they won 7-1 with the only success for the girls from Mia Brooker with a one-up win over Alex Le.

Picking up the points for the boys were Ellis Courtnell two up, Will Furness one up, Toby Cooper three up, two up, Josh Macklin one up, Lucas Moola two up, James Bell two up and Casper Bernstein three up.

A lovely day for junior golf in Cheshire at a fantastic host club with great friendship and team spirit from the girls and boys which is what Cheshire golf is always aiming for.
