Prestbury Golf Club is set to welcome some of the most talented young golfers in the world this summer as it hosts the prestigious England Golf Girls Open Championship.

Taking place from 21–23 July 2026, the championship will bring together a field of up to 144 of the leading female amateur golfers aged under 18, competing over 72 holes of stroke play in one of the most highly regarded events on the England Golf calendar. Following 36 holes, the leading players will progress to the final stages, with the championship title decided over a demanding final day of competition.

The event represents a significant milestone for Prestbury Golf Club, which has earned a national reputation for excellence and is consistently ranked among England's top golf courses. Founded in 1920 and designed by the renowned Harry Colt, the Cheshire venue provides a fitting stage for the country's premier girls' championship.

Located on the edge of the Cheshire countryside, Prestbury's acclaimed parkland layout combines dramatic elevation changes, exceptional conditioning and a rich championship heritage, offering a challenging yet inspiring test for the next generation of elite golfers.

The England Golf Girls Open Championship has established itself as a key stepping stone for many of the sport's rising stars, attracting competitors from across the UK and internationally. The event provides an opportunity for young players to compete at the highest amateur level while earning valuable ranking points and championship experience.
