Girls Team enjoy match with Red Rose

Cheshire Girls took on old rivals Lancashire at Prestwich Golf Club which provided a challenging and well-presented course.

Cheshire made a good start with a half for Jess Flynn (Bramall Park) and after Girls Captain Naomi Willans(Astbury) had lost 6/5 Cheshire bounced back.

Wins from Emilia Gravett (Astbury) two up, and Emily Macauley (Ringway) four up put Cheshire in front.

Then Lancashire proved to be unstoppable with four successive wins over Mia Brooker ((Sandbach) three down, Nancy Hodgson (Wilmslow 4/2, Missy Green (Congleton) 5/4 and Holly Wright (Styal) two down seeing them home 5.5 to 2.5.
