Gareth sets new course record at Bramhall

Gareth Bradley is a true legend at Bramhall Golf Club and Cheshire Golf winning numerous tournaments over the years at club and county (including this season’s Cheshire Senior Matchplay Championship), and representing his county with distinction many times over the years.

Now he has set a new course record at Bramhall playing in a midweek competition with his coach Richard Green who was the PGA professional at Bramhall for many years.

Bramhall completed the new course developments a few weeks ago which saw the introduction of three new holes to change the course ranking.

Gareth, who is currently suffering from a torn Achilles currently has to use a buggy, posted a new record of 64 for the new course and Richard said: “Congratulations to Gareth for setting a new record and it was fantastic to watch him do this at 62 years old- truly awesome!”

The previous record on the old course was 62 set by junior star Dan Hayes in May 2022 who is now on a golf scholarship in the USA.

Dan took the record from Gareth who had secured it three times previously - 65 in 1984, 64 in 1987 and 63 in 1994
