Cheshire President Marjorie Griffiths held the annual Cheshire President’s Day at her home club of Ringway with invited guests to play golf and dine and Ringway were superb hosts both on and off the course during a very sociable and memorable day for all.

Marjorie said: “It was a very enjoyable day for golf, the course was in good shape after the drought followed by heavy rain the weather was perfect and about 10 other past Cheshire and Ringway officials and also ia number of Cheshire volunteers who were a mixed bunch, but all have, or are, contributing a lot of time and energy to golf in the County joined the golfers for an excellent evening meal.

“A lovely social occasion generously hosted by Ringway GC.”

The format for the golf was playing in eight teams of three for the team prize and there were also prizes for the top individual score and nearest the pin on the 16th hole
